If one plays good music, people don't listen and if one plays bad music people don't talk.
- Oscar Wilde
Hi people,
Music is an unescapable and unavoidable disease in our everyday life. I call it a disease as some tunes tend to stick in your mind and refuses to leave. I even had trouble sleeping once just because I had a tune playing in my head. Bad or good music, it WILL somehow find a way to get stuck in your head. Proof: The Para Pam Pam song by the Askar Kedayan is not a masterpiece, but I tell you, no matter how sick I am of the song, I'll sing along freely anytime any day.
The type of music usually defines the state of mind and emotion of the person. Well, not everyone turn to 'All out of love' by Air Supply (gila classic bebeh) when they are having hard luck finding love. But, music can also change a person's mood. Just like how they use the right music for the right scene. Thats just music. But to incorporate songs (musics with lyrics) the situation and mood has to fit the lyrics and the genre of the song. Good examples for me would be 'Here without you' by 3 Doors Down in the movie 'Goal 2: Living the Dream' and 'I don't wanna miss a thing' by Aerosmith for the Armageddon movie has got to be a great classic. Ashton Kutcher did pretty well in serenading the 'I'll be there for you' by Bon Jovi is one of my top choices..
